Highly recommended - Biker Friendly !
Soaking wet and cold - made our way on the Harleys to St.Peter's and saw the "beacon in the night". The Bras D'or Lake Inn. We were welcomed with amazing hospitality and a room for the night. Dinner was incredible and we still brag about being "guests" at the chef's cabin. A hot tub on a cold night certainly rejuvenated our spirts and we were off the next day on our adventure with a smile!

I have been comimg to Cape Breton for more than 30 years. I always stay at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn when I am in southeast Cape Breton. It is my home away from home. People that I recommend the inn to feel the same after a stay. there.

Very quaint, great service, comfortable, clean
Just stayed for one night a couple of nights ago and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Took in some trails, sat on the dock looking out over the water, ate at the restaurant. Everything was wonderful. Only improvement I'd make is for a better shower head. You've got great water pressure but a shower head that just shoots air. Other than that, a wonderful experience!

My new favorite spot for myself and hubby to get away
Our room was clean and comfy, the service was impeccable and the owners are very hands on and so friendly...certainly would recommend it to anyone!

A few words from an employee
i'll be starting my 5th year this coming summer. I thought a statement from me couldn't hurt. My observation is that over all the staff get along with each other and the owners which makes the quality of service better! You often see employees and the ownes having fun while doing their duties, that makes a difference in a busy inn!

We throughly enjoyed our Stay and Sail day with Greg. He's a great sailor, a generous host and an informative tour guide. Our room was comfy and the cuisine was superb. So many extra touches! Thanks. Cape Breton was on my 'bucket list' but now that I've been there, I'm reluctant to take it off because I really want to go back!

Desserts were incredible!!!
We loved Juanita and she may be the most memorable person we encountered on our vacation to Cape Breton. She is definitely an asset to The Bras d'Or Lakes Inn!!

First wedding held on the dock at the Inn
We got married on Aug 15th 2010 at the Bras D'or Lakes Inn on the dock. It was the first wedding they said that had taken place there. There had been many receptions, but we tied the knot on the dock by the water. It was a beautiful day, and we couldn't have asked for better. We were treated wonderful, and the whole day and night went awesome. They catered for our buffet and our friends and family that joined us on our special day.A humungous thank you goes out to Rhoda and the rest of the staff who helped. It's been two years since we were married there, and would do it all over again at this spot. I would highly recommend the Bras D'or Lakes Inn to anyone for a meal(especially breakfast), an event or a place to stay on your travels. Thanks again for everything and hope to see you soon for your fantastic breakfst.
