Fine dining is a specialty at the Inn. For many people who live on and frequent Cape Breton Island, our Brittany Dining Room is a not-to-miss destination for celebrations, family and friends. Chef Jean Pierre, a past member of the Chain-de-Rotisseur, brings the best in authentic French and European cuisine from his roots in native Brittany. Together with his talented team in the kitchen he is proud to present a complete and varied menu guaranteed to please all palates. Whether you’re sitting down to a casual family meal or enjoying a romantic candle-lit dinner by the fireside, you’ll be well-taken care of by our staff.
For Dining in Cape Breton, look no further than the Brittany Dining Room at the Bras d’Or Lakes Inn. Enjoy a fine meal in our spacious cedar log dining room, or outdoors on the deck watching boats go by in the canal. From May to October a hot buffet breakfast is offered daily with crepes and omelettes made to order. Dinner features authentic French cuisine influenced by the abundant and fresh local seafood, game and produce. We also create daily features to compliment the main menu. To top it off our incredible dessert creations and specialty coffees will certainly tempt you.
Our dining room is closed for the winter season and will reopen for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014 with a special Mother’s Day Brunch – 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
We will then be open every day until mid October. We hope you will join us.
Our standard dining room hours and sittings:
- Buffet Breakfast – 7:30 am – 10:00 am daily
- Lunch – Take out option only on some menu items – place order the day before
- Dinner – Reservation or sittings available for 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm daily
- Bar Menu – Available in the main floor lounge every day from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
