Ceilidh is the Gaelic word for a house party where musicians, storytellers and dancers perform for each other and all the guests.
At the Bras dOr Lakes Inn weve created our own traditional house party in the spirit of the Ceilidh. Now in our fifth year, these weekly events have become increasingly popular, featuring live music and dance performances by Cape Breton artists of all ages.
Join us on Thursday nights in Sessions Lounge, at the Bras dOr Lakes Inn. Were busy planning the summer schedule now, and well be announcing the talent line-up soon so stay tuned!

New for this summer: Kitchen Rackets After each Ceilidh, from 9 11 pm, join us for an acoustic jam session. All musicians especially visitors to Cape Breton are invited to sit in with a gang of local players and singers. As the Sessions Lounge is licensed, this jam is only for people age 19 and over.
